Hi, I’m Tracey and from as young as I can remember I have always had a love for animals and had them in my life!
Growing up my parents owned German Shepherds, Poodles, Cats plus I was a very fortunate to have owned 3 horses.
When I moved into my own home it felt very empty without any animals, so when my first child was 7 months old I felt ready to own a dog, I spent a lot of time researching different breeds weighing up the pros and cons before I opened our door and hearts to my 1st BoxerGeorgia.
Since then my partner and 2 children have shared our lives with many pets. Fish, Hamsters, Guniea Pigs, Rabbits, Cats and another 3 dogs, 2 of which were also boxers. I have trained all our dogs myself.
With Rigsby though, my life was very different, for a start, my children were older and my change in circumstances had given me the opportunity to attend dog training classes with him.
It was attending these classes and being inspired by both of our trainers I became intrigued in the way dogs learnt and wanted to increase my knowledge of all things to do with dogs so I started to read dog books and articles on the Internet, I also applied and passed online dog training courses.
At first, the idea was to build my knowledge to help with Rigsby’s training and also to create a stronger bond with him. The more I read and learnt the more I realised this was what I wanted to do as a career, so here I am now.
It’s a fantastic feeling getting up in the morning knowing I’m doing something I love every day.
When I was a little puppy my favourite toy was a plastic flower pot and mummy hair. Now I’m a bit older I like to chase tennis balls and play with my friends.
I share our house with mummy, daddy, and our cats Willow,
Mcgee and Hiccup. Mummy took me to puppy classes when she first got me, then on to Obedience classes and we also went to Dog Agility classes. It was because of me mummy started to learn all about dogs and started to do courses. I think my mummy is very lucky to have me as I have changed her life because without me she wouldn’t be doing her dream job.
I’m really enjoying learning and being trained and I get feed lots of food for doing something right.
Its great having Rigsby as a big brother and we have lots of fun chasing and playing with each other.
Why not try Canine Hoopers!I came to live with my mummy and brothers when I was 9 weeks old in January 2020.
My brothers are really kind to me and let me win our races and our play fights. I love going to work with mummy and meeting all the dogs she works with.
